English into Danish

Life sciences & medical Danish

Medical language needs to be accurate enough for its purpose and clear enough for its reader. An instruction for a healthcare professional, a patient questionnaire and a technical description call for different decisions.

I translate and review Danish medical and life-sciences content. My Danish degree in physiotherapy provides a foundation in anatomy, physiology and clinical terminology, alongside full-time translation work since 2013.

Content I work with

What the review covers

I compare the Danish with the source for meaning, conditions, omissions and terminology. Particular attention goes to negation, instructions, units, numerical values and consistency across related documents.

Client terminology and approved reference material guide the work. If the source, artwork and translation file disagree, I identify the discrepancy and raise a precise question rather than choose an unsupported reading.

The linguistic work can support a regulated documentation process. Regulatory approval and clinical validation remain with the responsible specialists.

Working together

Send the source, language pair, intended audience, references and deadline. We agree whether the task is translation, bilingual revision, post-editing or a targeted quality check, and how corrections and questions should be delivered.

I work in memoQ, Trados and clients’ online platforms. For related documents, terminology and repeated wording are checked across the set.

Read how source and reference checks can reveal errors that fluent Danish hides.
